Webinar: Advancing Educator Preparation—Linking Research and Practice Across the UNC System: Using Data to Assess and Improve the Effectiveness of Educator Preparation

NASH and SHEEO are pleased to invite you to join us for the third installment of our co-hosted webinar series, “Advancing Educator Preparation.” Our upcoming webinar, “Linking Research and Practice Across the UNC System: Using Data to Assess and Improve the Effectiveness of Educator Preparation”, featuring Tom Ross, President, and Alisa Chapman, Vice President for Academic and University Programs, of the University of North Carolina System, will be held on Wednesday, April 22 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. ET. We hope you extend this invitation to other state agency or system staff you believe would benefit from attending.

The webinar will be presented in two parts. During the first part, from 2pm – 3pm, Ross and Chapman will focus on the development and implementation of UNC’s Educator Quality Data Dashboard. This portion of the webinar will include a live demonstration of the dashboard, as well as a discussion of how data indicators were chosen and how such indicators align with the draft US Department of Education Educator Preparation Accountability Rules. During the second part, from 3pm-4pm, Ross and Chapman will focus on how findings from the UNC research agenda for educator preparation are informing ongoing program improvement efforts. There will be time for a question and answer period between the audience and the speakers at the end of each part of the webinar.
