John Armstrong is a senior policy analyst at SHEEO where he studies effective uses of state data systems, tuition policies, and strategies to increase completion. In addition, John manages the data collection for Complete College America’s Common Completion Metrics and prepares analysis files for use by CCA, SHEEO and SHEEO agencies. Prior to joining the SHEEO team, John worked at the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. When not analyzing quantitative and qualitative survey data, John enjoys swing dancing, hiking, and eating burritos. John has a master of arts in higher education from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor of arts in music education from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. Before working in higher education, he taught middle school band and music.
